When your system doesn\u2019t use the ducts, it doesn\u2019t waste all that energy.<\/li><li><strong>Reducing Heating Costs: <\/strong>In our climate, it\u2019s not possible to use a heat pump to provide all necessary heat with no auxiliary system all winter long. But you can dramatically reduce the use of a less-efficient heating system by using a heat pump all spring and fall, and whenever temperatures allow.
